Taking care of fur requires regular brushing and combing. Brushing removes both shedding fur and dirt and protects longer fur from tangles and knotting. The skin is gently massaged in the process. Our brushes, made of oiled beech wood, fit hands optimally and are held by a flexible strap on the back of the brush.

The functionality mimics brushes used in equestrian sports-related care. The brush placed flat in the hand, allows the pressure and intensity of the brushing to be applied properly. Our long hair brush distinguishes itself by holding the metal bristles firmly, preventing them from retreating into the cushioning or being pulled out.

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • Removes shedding fur
  • Protects fur from tangles and knotting
  • Comfortable fit

We know all too well how frustrating it can be when your accessories arrive but do not fit. Although we always try to advise the right size based on your pet’s breed, it is not always straightforward as sizing standards can differ by brand as well.

However, if you use the following instructions you can be sure the find the perfect size for your pooch or feline friend.

1. TOOLS

2. BEFORE YOU START

  • For comfort, leave enough room for 2 fingers between the accessory and pet. This additional space ensures that the collar will not be too tight for your pooch, which can cause pain or injury.
  • Are you in doubt between 2 sizes? Size up!
  • Depending on the brand and accessory, you may measure your pooch several ways (A, B, C, D).
  • For the best look make sure the collar, harness, and leash have the same width.
  • When choosing the right size, don't rely on weight and breed type. Measuring your pooch will give you the certainty you want.

STEP 2 - FIND THE RIGHT COLLAR SIZE

Take the neck size and see if it fits by measuring the collar of your choice from inside the buckle to the adjustment hole (F). Don't measure the overall length of the collar.

HEMP OR NYLON

It’s super easy to wash hemp/nylon collars, leashes, and harnesses.

  • For the best result, before washing, soak the product for 15 minutes in a lukewarm water together with some detergent.
  • Put the product in a laundry wash bag and wash it with a delicate laundry detergent on a delicate or hand wash cycle (max 30 degrees °C).
  • Lay it out to air dry (don’t put it on a warm heating element or tumble dry!).

LEATHER

Leather is sensitive to natural elements: water, oil, snow, heat, light, and environments that are too humid or too dry. Protect it from extensive exposure to intense light, extreme cold and heat (direct sunlight, in a window, on a radiator, etc.), which may alter the color or cause dryness or cracks.

  • Warning: never use alcohol, cleaning solvents, oils or polishes as may damage the leather.
  • If the leather comes into contact with water, wipe it immediately with a soft, lint-free cloth. This will prevent the formation of stains and blisters.
  • Stains can be spot cleaned with a damp lint-free cloth as well.
  • Lay it out to air dry (don’t put it on a warm heating element or tumble dry!).
  • To prevent dryness or cracks, treat it with a neutral polishing cream.
  • Let it dry overnight so that the product gets beautifully conditioned.
  • For the best result, maintain the leather product on a regular basis.

With little pampering, your leather product will over again regain its beautiful state and develop even more character over time.

Now, nothing stands in your way for you and your pooch to enjoy those long walks for a very long time.

HARDWARE

The metal pieces – clasps, snap hooks, D rings and buckles – known as ‘hardware’ can all be cleaned with a damp lint-free cloth. In a case of brass hardware, apply a brass cleaner (available in grocery stores or your local hardware store) on a lint-free cloth according to the instructions on the bottle.

BEDS

Beds should first be vacuumed before washing to remove sand or loose dirt.

  • Large stains can be spot treated with liquid soap.
  • Next, our outer beds can be removed, turned inside out, and machine washed in the delicate or hand wash cycle (max 30 degrees °C).
  • The beds should be laid out to air dry, or dried on low heat in the dryer. The inner stuffing can also be washed in the delicate cycle, and then air dried.
  • The fluff of the inner stuffing can be brought back by shaking it well, beating it gently, and then vacuuming it.
